Description
The municipal swimming pool in Laives is a great alternative to the Bolzano Lido – it’s smaller, more relaxed, and less crowded. Here’s what you’ll find:
- A large baby pool with a mushroom-shaped water fountain
- A spacious non-swimmer pool with a long water slide. Bonus for younger kids: shallow steps with a handrail for easy access
- A large pool for swimmers, equipped with 0.5-meter-high starting blocks
- A big sunbathing lawn with trees and parasols for shade
- Two large beach volleyball courts
- Table tennis and table football (calcetto)
- A snack bar serving hot meals and snacks
Good to know for families:
- The pool is family-friendly, but there’s no playground.
- The two main swimming pools are located on a raised area, accessible via stairs or a ramp from the lawn. This means that if you’re relaxing on the grass, you won’t have a direct line of sight to your kids in the water.
- Like most places, weekends tend to get busy – don’t let the calm photos fool you. We took them right after opening, thanks to our early-rising little ones 😉
All in all, the Lido in Laives is a solid choice for families.
Insider tip: We’ve had the best poolside French fries here so far!
