Route description
The Eichhörnchenweg (Squirrel Adventure Trail) features 23 interactive nature and activity stations where kids can climb, balance, and explore – all while playfully learning about the forest and the wonders of wood.
The trail is designed as a circular route and is partially suitable for strollers. However, some stations are only accessible via steps, and the path can be quite steep at times. For families with small children, a baby carrier is often the better choice.
You can walk the trail in either direction – the paths cross at several points, so you can create your own adventure course along the way. Free public parking is available next to Hotel Waldschenke (St. Felix-Weg).
The trail is especially beautiful in spring and autumn. It’s also accessible in winter, though some steeper sections may be slippery – sturdy footwear is recommended!
